LEVELLING
The VARI -TILL features a sprung-leaf levelling board (reversible wear
strip) with adjustable height and angle, enabling the best levelling and
clod breaking action. This type of levelling board is far superior to a conventional type as
the skiing action prevents the machine diving under light conditions. The leveller can be set up to level consistently without bulldozing. the
strong spring is very effective at rumbling clod and increasing the bulk
density of the soil to improve subsequent tine action. The split leveller includes a flat plate to prevent twisting of angle on
long lengths.
Changing the angle does not require the height to be altered (self
compensating).
Tine Frame
The heavy duty tine frame has two 50mm box profile
runners (the strongest on the market). Runners are spaced at 295mm for improved performance in trashy or stony
conditions and are equipped with a quality 12 x 32mm straight leg tine. Runner spacing can be specified and a third row added.
A special tine frame is available for stony conditions to reduce stone
plucking.
Row spacings and the number of tines can be specified to suit
conditions.
Rollers
A full range of roller options are available. A heavy
duty 14" toothed packer with scrapers or rubber roller (17.5" or 22") is
standard equipment.
Bearings are 40mm.
Aircraft tyres are virtually indestructible (cf. car tyres etc.).
Scraped roller has a 6.3mm wall.

THE
VARI-TILL E
The VARI-TILL E is an economy version of the standard Vari-Till
machine. A high quality cultivator using the same components as the
standard machine but with welded tine frames and A-frame.
Features: The machine is built specifically to replace the power harrow
element out of a combination, utilising the existing roller.
This unit is only available for selected combinations - the idea being
that, where conditions permit, the drill may be dropped off the rear of
the powered combination and the roller from the power harrow utilised on
the rear of the VARI-TILL.

THE VARI-TILL S
The Vari-Till S is longer than the standard Vari-Till unit and more
suited to larger tractors.
Features: Independently adjustable leading tines, to lift the soil
before levelling; hydraulically adjustable secondary leveller after the
tines.
